Institute for LifeLong Learning in dialogue with pioneers of change

Summer of Purpose 2021 is a multi-day, innovative event taking place in Munich, Germany, June 21-29, 2021, at the recently opened Munich Urban Colab, to which interested parties can join virtually. It promotes creative dialogue to solve the global challenges of our time and make living and doing business possible (https://www.summerofpurpose.com). In addition to other high-ranking personalities from politics, business, science, sports and culture, such as Muhammad Yunus, Michael Otto, Eckart von Hirschhausen and Mary Robinson, selected TUM researchers who are leading particularly interesting projects in the field of sustainability will have their say. In addition, dialog partners will be digitally connected. The founding director of the Institute for LifeLong Learning at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus, will be accompanied at the Summer of Purpose by the publicist Tamara Dietl and Prof. Dr. Dieter Frey. The experts will exchange ideas with personalities from various industries - such as Prof. Dr. Michael Otto, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Otto Group; Sven H. Korndörffer, Chairman of the Values Commission and Wanjira Mathai, Vice President of the World Resource Institute.

The TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning is participating in the Summer of Purpose as part of its TUM Learning Festival. Together, a new, sustainable way of doing business and ways out of the global crisis are to be found. For this purpose, not only people are to be networked, but also forces are to be bundled and initiatives coordinated. With the support of the TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning, the Summer of Purpose aims to create a strong community by 2025 that will advance the transformation of regeneration in a wide variety of interaction formats and design spaces. The event can be streamed on the Summer of Purpose homepage, beginning from June 21. Registration is not required.
